Horizontal Water Tank Mould Manufacturer

Horizontal Water Tank Mould Manufacturer

Horizontal water tanks are used wherever installation space is tight under vehicles, in low-ceiling storage areas, along building walls, or in agricultural machinery where a flat profile works better than a tall cylinder. Vishnu Engineering manufactures Horizontal Water Tank Moulds for exactly these applications, with the same machining quality and aluminium alloy specification we apply to our full mould range.

The horizontal orientation places different structural demands on the mould compared to vertical designs. The parting line placement, fill point position, and structural ribs inside the mould all need to account for the tank lying on its side under load. We have designed hundreds of horizontal moulds over the years, and that accumulated experience shows in details that less experienced manufacturers tend to miss rib placement, wall thickness variation, and port positioning that actually makes installation easier for the end user.

Moulds are available in standard capacities or fully custom to your specification. If you are producing horizontal tanks for a specific vehicle, installation space, or liquid type, we can work from your drawings or from a dimensional brief and produce a mould that meets your requirements. We manufacture both open-top transport tank moulds and fully sealed horizontal storage tank moulds.

Applications

Vehicle-mounted water and diesel transport tanks

Agricultural sprayer and irrigation tanks

Underground horizontal storage tanks

Low-profile industrial liquid storage

Marine and recreational vehicle water storage

FAQs

Yes. We accept customer drawings in 2D or 3D CAD format and manufacture moulds to those specifications. Our engineering team will review your drawings, identify any production concerns, and confirm dimensions before machining begins.

Wall thickness in rotomoulded horizontal tanks is controlled primarily by the material charge weight, not the mould itself. Typical wall thicknesses range from 4 mm to 12 mm depending on the tank capacity and application. We will advise on appropriate charge weights during commissioning.

In most cases, yes. Horizontal moulds involve more complex parting line geometry and structural rib design, which adds machining time. The price difference varies by design complexity. We provide detailed quotations so you can make an informed decision before committing.
