Extruder Machine for Coloring and Compounding

Extruder Machine for Coloring and Compounding

The Extruder Machine for Coloring and Compounding from Vishnu Engineering is built for plastic processors who need precise colour matching and compound consistency in their production lines. Whether you are producing master batch, blending colour concentrates into base resin, or compounding additives for functional performance, this machine gives you the control and repeatability that industrial plastic processing demands.

The machine uses a twin-screw extrusion mechanism, which provides better mixing action than single-screw designs especially important when you need pigments, fillers, and additives dispersed uniformly through the polymer matrix. Screw geometry is matched to the specific processing requirements: high-shear zones for pigment dispersion, mixing elements for additive blending, and metered output for consistent strand or pellet formation.

Temperature control runs zone by zone along the barrel, with each zone independently regulated through the PLC system. This gives you the flexibility to set precise thermal profiles for different polymer type’s polyolefins, PVC, engineering plastics — without the compromises you would make on a simpler machine. Output is through a strand die, water bath, and pelletizer, giving you clean, uniform pellets ready for downstream processing or sale.

Applications

Colour masterbatch production

Filler and additive compounding (calcium carbonate, talc, etc.)

Flame retardant and UV stabilizer compound production

Recycled plastic compounding and upgrading

Engineering plastic blending (PA, ABS, PC alloys)

FAQs

Coloring extrusion is primarily about dispersing pigments into a base resin to achieve a consistent colour throughout the pellet. Compounding is broader — it involves blending functional additives, fillers, or multiple polymer types to modify the physical or chemical properties of the final material. Our machine handles both applications, sometimes simultaneously.

Yes. The twin-screw design with side feeder ports is well-suited for high filler loading — up to 70–80% calcium carbonate by weight is achievable depending on the base resin and screw configuration. We will confirm specific limits during the application review.

Yes. We commission the machine at your site, run trial batches with your actual materials, and train your operators on startup, shutdown, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting procedures. Documentation is provided in English and local language on request.
